Answer:

Area of  window is 196 inches².

Step-by-step explanation:

Area of trapezium = \frac{1}{2} \times (\text{sum of parallel sides}) \times \text{height} ........(1)

Given an isosceles trapezoid ABCD having base DC and AE and BF are the altitude.

AB = 10 inches, DE= FC = 4 inches , AE = BF = 14 inches ,EF = 10 inches

so, BC = DE + EF + FC = 4 + 10 + 4 = 18 inches

Area of trapezium = \frac{1}{2} \times (AB+BC) \times {AE}

Put vlues in above, we get,

Area of trapezium = \frac{1}{2} \times (10+18) \times 14

On solving , we get,

Area of trapezium = 196

Thus, area of  window is 196 inches².

Well, using simple addition, take and make the bottom 18 inches long

then use this equation:
area=height/2(top+bottom)

so...
the area is 196 units^2

What is the difference between 3/5 and 3/10
Westkost [7]

Well, whenever you are working with fractions with different denominators, you would multiply both the top and the bottom of the fraction with the smaller number as the denominator. (You could also divide the larger denominator number.) So let's see what number we can multiply by 5 to get 10. That would be 2. Then we would multiply the numerator by two as well. So what is 3 times 2? 6. Once you've done that, you get 6/10 or 0.6 in decimal form. The difference would be 0.3 or 3/10. :)
