11 15/26 + [-17 5/13] =
aleksley [76]

11 15/26 + [-17 5/13] =

11 \frac{15}{26} = \frac{301}{26}

-17 \frac{5}{13} = -\frac{226}{13}

\frac{301}{26} - \frac{226}{13}

To subtract two fractions the denominators should be same

Least common denominator = 26

We multiply second fraction by 2

\frac{301}{26} - \frac{452}{26}

\frac{301-452}{26}

\frac{-151}{26}

A father is 60 yrs old son is half his age .How old was the boy when his father was four times his age
inna [77]
Let f be the fathers age and let s be the sons age

f = 60 s = 30
when f = 45
s = 15 which is only a third if his fathers age

when f = 40
s = 10 which is a quarter of his fathers age

therefore when his father was 4 times his age, the son was 10
