Answer&Explanation:

At room temperature (27°C) the molecules of water moves faster due to their higher kinetic energy due to the higher temperature inside compared to at 0°C where they posses lowest kinetic energy that they don't show any sign of movement that means they have frozen

Briefly explain why cutting a flatworm into pieces would not kill it
gladu [14]

Cleaving a flatworm into pieces would not kill the flatworm as each piece would turn into a new flatworm. The mechanism is known as fragmentation. In multicellular species, fragmentation refers to a kind of asexual reproduction in which a species gets cleaved into fragments.

Each of these fragments forms into completely developed, mature individuals, which are similar to their parents. Fragmentation is also called splitting, it is a mode of reproduction witnessed in various species like molds, filamentous cyanobacteria, lichens, various plants, and animals like flatworms, sponges, sea stars, and some annelids.

What method(s) do plants use to obtain nitrogen? Select all that apply.
elena-14-01-66 [18.8K]

Answer:

Plants can't use N2 as is so the first option is wrong. They do have relationships with bacteria that live in nodules of the root and convert the nitrogen into ammonia, a usable form for the plants. So the second option is correct. There are bacteria living in the soil as well that convert nitrogen to ammonia so technically option 3 is also correct. Again, nitrogen if present in water would be in the form N2 which is not usable by plants so 4 is wrong.

These are correct:

use bacteria to convert nitrogen to usable form

In obtain usable nitrogen compounds from the soil

As discussed previously, the ABO locus in humans has three alleles, where IAand IBare co-dominant and i is recessive to each. Su
Ivahew [28]

Answer:

Explanation:

using the formula p² + 2pq + 2pr + q²+ 2qr + r² = 1 where p is IA allele is 0.35 and q is IB allele is 0.15.

Thus, the expected frequency of people with type AB blood in this population will be (2pq) = 2 x 0.35 x 0.15 = 0.105

b. The expected frequency of people with type A blood will be p² + 2pr = where r is found using the formular p + q + r = 1 = 1 - (p+q) = 1 - (0.35+0.15) = 0.5

Thus, we have the expected frequency of people with type A blood to be (0.35² + 2x0.35x0.5) = 0.4725.

c.     p² + 2pr + 2pq + q² + 2qr + r²

       AA AO AB BB BO OO

         1850       180        635      2335

frequency of IA- p = (1850 + 180/2) / 5000 = 0.388

frequency of IB- q = (635 + 180/2) / 5000 = 0.145

frequency of i- r = 2335/ 5000 = 0.467.

since r² = 2335, r = √2335 = 48.32

using the formula p + q + r = 1

How are ionic and covalent bonds different from hydrogen bonds ?
loris [4]
Hello.

They are different because ionic and covalent bonds are closer then hydrogen bonds. And ionic and covalent bonds have a intramolecular bond becasue that is were the force excist.
Ionic bond strengths range from 600 kJ/mol to 6000 kJ/mol.
Covalent bonds form when two atoms share electrons.
