Answer:

It isn't safe at all...

Explanation:

Even if remains at constant temperature, while ascending to the surface of the lake Jacques lung pressure will increase if he hold its breath. Thats because the pressure of water weakens and the pre-hold breath in lungs will expand as he rises. This can cause serious lung damage and drowning is possible.

What is the biological significance of genetic diversity between populations? What is the biological significance of genetic div
mrs_skeptik [129]

Explanation:

A) Genes for traits conferring an advantage to local conditions make microevolution possible.

For example, Galapagos finches show variation in beak sizes and shapes related to their niches and available food source; the finches developed adaptations to their environment. Their specialized beaks allow them to adequately exploit the available resources, by utilizing the more abundant food source.

Further Explanation:

All the genetic information within the eukaryotic cell is stored within the nucleus as helical DNA. This DNA is tightly wound around histones as chromosomes. To produce daughter cells during cell division, the chromosomes (total number of chromosomes (2n)) are copied before the cell splits into two daughter cells. This process is known as mitosis, and occurs in cell division and growth processes. Two new nuclei are formed, along with identical cells. These are the same as the parent cell and the chromosome number (2n) is maintained.

Conversely in meiosis, the number of chromosomes (2n) is halved through meiotic divisions, producing 4 (n) germ cells (sperm or eggs), each containing half the number of chromosomes as its parent cell. Crossing over, independent assortment, and random fertilization ensure genetic variation.

This variation refers to the genetic characteristics present within a species; they form new traits called alleles, which may confer adaptations that increase the fitness of a species, along with ensuring survival by conferring an advantage.

Additionally, natural selection, mutation, genetic drift and gene flow lead to microevolution; over time, this is seen as changes to allelic frequencies within a population

The deciduous dentition consists of __________ teeth.
Nikitich [7]

The deciduous dentition consists of 20 teeth.

Primary teeth also known as deciduous teeth, milk teeth, are the first set of temporary teeth in the growth development of humans. They develop during the embryonic stage of development, become visible in the mouth during infancy (erupt) and usually get replaced by permanent teeth around age six (the first tooth). The primary teeth consist of 4 central incisors (one in each quadrant), 4 lateral incisors, 4 canines, 4 first molars, and 4 secondary molars.

A skeletal muscle is a composition of several components bundled one into the other. At which structural level in the muscle doe
Kobotan [32]

Answer

Muscle Fiber

Explanation:

Skeletal muscle is one of three major muscle types, the others being cardiac muscle and smooth muscle. It is a form of striated muscle tissue, which is under the voluntary control of the somatic nervous system.[1] Most skeletal muscles are attached to bones by bundles of collagen fibers known as tendons.

A skeletal muscle refers to multiple bundles (fascicles) of cells joined together called muscle fibers. The fibers and muscles are surrounded by connective tissue layers called fasciae. Muscle fibers, or muscle cells, are formed from the fusion of developmental myoblasts in a process known as myogenesis. Muscle fibers are cylindrical and have more than one nucleus. They also have multiple mitochondria to meet energy needs.

Muscle fibers are in turn composed of myofibrils. The myofibrils are composed of actin and myosin filaments, repeated in units called sarcomeres, which are the basic functional units of the muscle fiber. The sarcomere is responsible for the striated appearance of skeletal muscle and forms the basic machinery necessary for muscle contraction.
