What is the means-to-MAD ratio of the two data sets, expressed as a decimal?

Means-to-MAD ratio is something that wouldn't be hard to find out, but I've certainly <em />never even heard of it.

The mean (<span>µ) </span>of a set of data points is found by adding them up and dividing by the number of data points.

For our first set: \{1,\ 4.3,\ 1\}\rightarrow\frac{1+4.3+1}3=\frac{6.3}3=\boxed{2.1=\mu}

For our second set: \{2,\ 4.9,\ 1.2\}\rightarrow\frac{2+4.9+1.2}3=\frac{8.1}3=\boxed{2.7=\mu}

The mean absolute deviation is when you find the distance of each data point from the mean and then find the mean <em>of those distances.</em>

For our first set: \{1,\ 4.3\ 1\}\ has\ \mu=2.1.\\distances = \{1.1,\ 3.2,\ 1.1\}\rightarrow\frac{1.1+3.2+1.1}3=\frac{5.4}3=\boxed{1.8=MAD}
<em>
</em>For our second set: \{2,\ 4.9,\ 1.2\}\ has\ \mu=2.7\\distances=\{0.7,\ 2.2,\ 2.5\}\rightarrow\frac{0.7+2.2+2.5}3=\frac{5.4}3=\boxed{1.8=MAD}
<em>
</em>It wouldn't be hard to find the ratio between these for each set as the question asks...don't forget to put our ratio in simplest form!

For the first set: \frac{\mu}{MAD}=\frac{2.1}{1.8}=\frac{21}{18}=\boxed{\frac{7}6}
<em>
</em>For the second set: \frac{\mu}{MAD}=\frac{2.7}{1.8}=\frac{27}{18}=\frac{9}3=\boxed{\frac{3}1}
<em>(In a fraction, we would just put this as 3 because the ÷1 is redundant...however, because this is ratio, we have to keep it in)</em><em>

Rosie is training for the next football match. She runs around a circular track with a radius of 60 metres how far has Rosie run
harina [27]
Use the equation C = 2<span>πr where r is the radius to find the circumference of the track. That is the perimeter around which she has run:

</span>C = 2<span>πr

C = 2</span><span>π(60 meters)

C = 120</span>π meters <span>≈ 377 meters</span>

Please answer these 2 questions for me!!
erma4kov [3.2K]

Answers:

  1. C) 5/14
  2. A) 2/16

===========================================

Explanations:

  1. We have 5+9 = 14 people who don't have a dog. Of this total, 5 have a cat. So that's where 5/14 comes from. We ignore the top row because we know 100% that this person doesn't have a dog (based on what the "given" says).
  2. Focus on the top row. This is because we're given or told that the person completed the hw. We have 2 people who failed the test out of 14+2 = 16 people who did the hw. The fraction 2/16 reduces to 1/8, but it appears your teacher doesn't want you to reduce.

N2-m?; n= -2, and m= -9<br> in? - m2 = (Simplify your answer.)
MrRissso [65]

Answer:

1) 5

2) 9

Step-by-step explanation:

n2 - m

= -2(2) - (-9)

= -4 + 9

= 5

in - m2

= i(-2) - (-9)(2)

= -2i + 18

=> -2i = -18

=> i = -18/-2

=> i = 9
