This is a simple concept but it can be confusing. You were right when you put 10 next to 6 because you multiply 3 by 2 and also 5 by 2 to get 10. BELIEVE IN YOURSELF!!!! ;) For the other ones, you just divide whichever number is in the box by 3 or 5 (depending on which column it is) and multiply the other column by that answer and you should get the answer to fill the missing box. For example, 9 would be next to 15 and so on and so forth. Hopefully that whole paragraph helped!!!:)!

Connor is stuck in a traffic jam on a single-lane road. The traffic report tells him the traffic jam stretches for 5.5 miles. If
dedylja [7]

Answer:

2323

Step-by-step explanation:

According to the questions above, the report from the traffic jam says the traffics jam stretches for 5.5 miles

As Connor assumes that each car is about 12.5 long

The next step is to convert 5.5 miles into feet.

Since 1 mile = 5280

To convert 5.5 miles, 5.5 x 5280 = 29040 feet

To find the numbers of cars struck in traffic, we will have to divide 29040 by 12.5

29040/12.5 = 2323.3 ≅ 2323

Describe, in your own words, the identity sin^2(x) + cos^2(x) = 1.
Crank

Look at the attached figure. We define the unit circle as a circle with center A in the origin (0,0) and radius 1.

Then, we consider a point P on the circumference. We call \alpha the angle between the positive half of the x axis and the radius AP.

We define

\cos(\alpha) = \overline{AD},\quad \sin(\alpha) = \overline{AC}

As you can see, ACD is a right triangle, and so we have

\overline{AD}^2+\overline{AC}^2=\overline{AP}^2

But since we know that AD is the cosine, AC is the sine, and AP is the radius (which is 1, and remains 1 when squared), we have just found out that

\cos(\alpha)^2+\sin(\alpha)^2=1

Statements are often denoted by letters such as p, q, and r.
just olya [345]
We often used p, q, and r to stand propositional statement or logical statement. We can see this in the truth tables where p can represent the true statement and q represents the false statement while r for the r represents the result of the logical condition. In using these letters, we can merely remove the parenthesis in between the letters since by writing the letters side-by-side would also mean multiplication such as pq = p(q).
