First, you gotta know the definitions of each.

Conduction: Heat transfer through solids

Convection: Heat transfer using mass motion though liquids

Radiation: Heat transfer using electromagnetic waves.

Heat that comes from a heat lamp in a bathroom mostly relates to radiation. Not only because heat lamps give off light but also because radiation is used to heat its surroundings which the heat lamp in your example is doing.

Your answer is C. :)

The answer would be radiation. Heat lamps give off IR radiation in order to heat the surroundings. No idea what you mean by "potential" in reference to heat transfer.

Answer:

Screaming is an emotional response triggered by the brain which receives information about the pain later as compared to pulling away of finger which is a reflex action facilitated by the spinal cord that has a quicker-time to response.

Explanation:

Reflex action happens when part of our body comes to contact with an object which can cause harm and you tend to quickly withdraw that part of the body.Reflex action happens quicker before the brain gets the time to process information about the harm.

When the baby touched the hot pan, at point of contact, skin receptors send nerve impulses to the spinal cord. Interneurons in the spinal cord relay a response to motor neurons to stimulate muscle contraction making the baby to pull his finger away.This happens so fast before the brain receives the message later to trigger emotional response(screaming).

Objects 1 and 2 attract each other with a gravitational force of 72.0 units. If the mass of Object 1 is one-fourth the original
Black_prince [1.1K]

Answer:

New gravitational force, F' = 216 units

Explanation:

Given that,

Gravitational force between object 1 and 2, F = 72 N

The gravitational force between two objects is given by :

F=\dfrac{Gm_1m_2}{r^2}

\dfrac{Gm_1m_2}{r^2}=72............(1)

If the mass of object 1, m_1'=\dfrac{m_1}{4}

m_2'=3m_2

If the distance between objects is halved, r'=\dfrac{r}{2}

Let new gravitational force is F'. It is changed to :

F=\dfrac{Gm'_1m'_2}{r'^2}

F'=\dfrac{G\times \dfrac{m_1}{4}\times 3m_2}{(\dfrac{r}{2})^2}

F'=3\times \dfrac{Gm_1m_2}{r^2}

F'=3\times F

F'=3\times 72

F' = 216 units

So, the  new gravitational force will be 216 units.
