I have to find the slope and the y-intersect from these graphs. It would mean alot if someone could help with at least one of th
Sati [7]

Answer:

Alright bear with me, this is gonna be a long one.

<u>The Y INTERCEPT</u>

So the y-intercept is going to be where the line intersects the Y-AXIS. The y-axis is the vertical part of the graph with the numbers on it.

So, for the first one, the line goes through the origin which means that that the y intercept is going to be (0,0)

The next one, the line intersects the y-axis at (0,1)

Here's a tip: the y-intercept will always have 0 as it's x coordinate.

<u>The Slope</u>

Alright, the slope of a vertical line can be found using an equation. Most typically people will describe the slope as RISE/RUN meaning how many units you move up "rise" and how many units you move horizontally "run" to touch the line. Of course, it's easier when you can identify points.

So to make this a little bit easier to understand, I will show you how to use the equation to find the slope.

\frac{y2-y1}{x2-x1}

So for this equation, what you need is two coordinates. So for the first graph, I'm going to use the points (0,0) and (1,3)

\frac{3-0}{1-0}

So we make the three y2 because it's the second y coordinate and the y1 would be 0. Same applies to the x coordinates but use the x values.

the slope for the first graph would be 3/1

<u>FOR THE SECOND GRAPH</u>

\frac{y2-y1}{x2-x1}

Here's our equation now pick two points. I'll be using (-5,4) and (0,1)

\frac{1-4}{0-(-5)}

Don't forget that a negative-a negative = positive

which will leave you with

\frac{-3}{5}

since it can't be simplified any further, your slope is -3/5.

I hope I was able to help you understand this a bit better :)

What is the slope of the line
Anna11 [10]

<u>Answer:</u>

  • The slope is 1.

<u>Step-by-step explanation:</u>

Let's take two points on a line. (2,0) and (0,2).

Now, determine the rise and run.

  • Rise: 2
  • Run: 2

Slope = Rise/Run

=> 2/2

<u>Conclusion:</u>

Therefore, the slope is 1.

Hoped this helped.

For which acute angle are the sine of the angle and cosine of the angle equal?
pentagon [3]

Answer:

∠45°

Step-by-step explanation:

When looking at a unit circle, the only acute angle (an angle between

0° and 90°) that consists of an equal sine and cosine is 45°. This is because:

sin 45 = \frac{\sqrt{2} }{2}

cos45 =  \frac{\sqrt{2} }{2}

45° is the only acute angle that contains an equal sine and cosine.

Can I please get Help with this math problem please
kifflom [539]

Answer:

AB=16

BC=15

AC=12

PQ=12

QR=12

PR=19

Step-by-step explanation:

well you know that the perimeter is the sum of all sides

so we have

(2x)+(2x+4)+(2x+3)=(2x)+(2x)+(3x+1)\\\\2x+2x+4+2x+3=2x+2x+3x+1\\\\(2x+2x+2x)+(4+3)=(2x+2x+3x)+(1)\\\\6x+7=7x+1\\\\6x+7-1=7x\\\\6x+6=7x\\\\6=7x-6x\\\\x=6

so the sides are:

AB=2x+4=2(6)+4=12+4=16\\\\AB=16

BC=2x+3=2x+4-1=16-1=15\\\\BC=15

AC=2x=2(6)=12\\\\AC=12

PQ=2x=12\\\\PQ=12

QR=2x=12\\\\QR=12

PR=3x+1=3(6)+1=18+1=19\\\\PR=19

So there you are.
