Answer:

D) The energy is quadrupled.

Explanation:

Bobs found out from his study that energy of a wave is directly proportional to the square of the waves amplitude. This is expressed as:

E = kA² where:

E is the energy

A is the amplitude

k is the proportionality constant.

If the amplitude change from 2m to 4m, the initial amplitude is 2m and the final amplitude is 4m.

When A is 2m

E = k(2)²

E1 = 4K ... 1

As the amplitude increase to 4m, to energy becomes

E2 = k(4)²

E2 = 16k... 2

Taking the ratio of equation 2 to one to get the new energy E2 in terms of E1 will give:

E2/E1 = 16k/4k

E2/E1 = 4

E2 = 4E1

This shows that as the amplitude increases from 2m to 4m, the energy quadrupled

Tamiku [17]
The control setup in this experiment would be one tank that does not contain any of the additives. Since the tanks with the gasoline additives would need to be compared with a tank that is not affected by the results of these additives.

A car weighing 14,700 N is speeding down a highway with a velocity of 99 km/h. What is the
tankabanditka [31]

Answer: 148348.6239 kg•m/s

Explanation: Firstly, we need to convert the 14700 N into kilograms, and to do so, use the formula net force is equal to mass times acceleration and rearrange the formula to find mass like shown below...

F = ma

F/a = m

14700/9.81 = 1498.470948 kg, this is your mass

Now that we convert it into kilograms, plug all the numbers into the variable of the momentum formula.

Momentum formula is P = mass x velocity

Like this:

P = 1498.470948 x 99

p = 148348.6239 kg•m/s.

I believe that is your answer, hope that helps you even a bit out.

Thanks.

What type of energy does a pv cell create ?
Alex_Xolod [135]

Answer:  Solar Photovoltaic (PV) cells generate electricity by absorbing sunlight and using that light energy to create an electrical current. There are many PV cells within a single solar panel, and the current created by all of the cells together adds up to enough electricity to help power your school, home and businesses.

Brayden and Riku now use their skills to work a problem. Find the equivalent resistance, the current supplied by the battery and
Liono4ka [1.6K]

a) 5 \Omega, 1.6 A

b) 6 \Omega, 1.33 A

Explanation:

a)

In this situation, we have two resistors connected in series.

The equivalent resistance of resistors in series is equal to the sum of the individual resistances, so in this circuit:

R=R_1+R_2

where

R_1=4\Omega

R_2=1 \Omega

Therefore, the equivalent resistance is

R=4+1=5 \Omega

Now we can use Ohm's Law to find the current flowing through the circuit:

I=\frac{V}{R}

where

V = 8 V is the voltage supplied by the battery

R=5\Omega is the equivalent resistance of the circuit

Substituting,

I=\frac{8}{5}=1.6 A

The two resistors are connected in series, therefore the current flowing through each resistor is the same, 1.6 A.

b)

In this part, a third resistor is added in series to the circuit; so the new equivalent resistance of the circuit is

R=R_1+R_2+R_3

where:

R_1=4\Omega\\R_2=1\Omega\\R_3=1\Omega

Substituting, we find the equivalent resistance:

R=4+1+1=6 \Omega

Now we can find the current through the circuit by using again Ohm's Law:

I=\frac{V}{R}

where

V = 8 V is the voltage supplied by the battery

R=6\Omega is the equivalent resistance

Substituting,

I=\frac{8}{6}=1.33 A

And the three resistors are connected in series, therefore the current flowing through each resistor is the same, 1.33 A.

Yes, friction does exist in space. Friction has nothing to do with the earth's atmosphere. It exists everywhere in the universe. <span />
