What is 35 x 45 equal

Mathematics

35 x
45

5 x 5 first equals 25 the 5 goes below the 5 in 45 and the 2 gets added to the next which is

5 x 3 = 15 + the 2 = 17 , this is what it should look like now

 35 x
 45 =
175

Then do the same but for the 4 but you add a zero in the units column so,

4x5 = 20, the zero goes below the number and the 2 goes to the next one

4 x 3 = 12 + the 2 = 14
so it should now look like this

  35 x
  45 =
 175
1400

then add the bottom two together and thats your answser

175 + 1400

= 1575

Hope this helped:)

HELP. How do i convert $1.34 into a percent %
Lelechka [254]
Ok. So, say you have 1 whole. If you take half of that it would be 50% or 0.50 of the whole. So with 1.34 you can turn it into 1 and 0.34. You have one whole, so that is 100 percent. You than add the 34 hundredths which is 34 percent. So you have 134%. Do you understand all that?

Approximate the zeros of the function. Round to the nearest tenth if necessary. f(x) = 4x^2 + 4x - 35. Explain each step on how
svet-max [94.6K]
4x²+4x-35=0
factor: (2x+7)(2x-5)=0
2x+7=0, or 2x-5=0
2x=-7 or 2x=5
x=-3.5 or x=2.5

I don't see any rounding necessary in this case.

when you factor ax²+bx+c, you take the two factors of a and the two factors of c, one factor of a times one factor of c, the other factor of a times the other factors, the sum of the two products make b.
in this case, the factors of 4 is 2 and 2, the factors of -35 is -5 and 7. I line them up in the following way:
2    -5

2      7
then I multiple them diagonally, the top left 2 multiplying the bottom right 7=14, and the other 2 multiplying -5=-10, 14 and -10 make a sum of 4.

if you don't get the desired sum, switch the factors up and down till you have the right combination. Note: Do not switch left and right.

I hope this makes sense to you.

Kelli and Karl each have a job. Kelli earns $20 an hour. She also receives a $100 weekly bonus.
ad-work [718]
Equation for Kelli's earning = 20x + 100
Equation for Karl's earning = 25x + 50

Now, 20x +100 = 25x +50
25x-20x = 100-50
5x = 50
x = 10

So, your answer is 10 hours.

Hope this helps!
