we are given

f(x)=\frac{x^5}{7}

Since, we have to find inverse function

so, we will do following steps

step-1:

we can set f(x)=y

y=\frac{x^5}{7}

step-2:

Switch x and y

x=\frac{y^5}{7}

step-3:

now, we can solve for y

x\times 7=\frac{y^5}{7}\times 7

7x=y^5

step-4:

Take radical of 5 on both sides

\sqrt[5]{7x} =\sqrt[5]{y^5}

we get

y=\sqrt[5]{7x}

f^{-1}(x)=\sqrt[5]{7x}............Answer

What is the multiplicative rate of change of the function? The table represents an exponential function.
zhannawk [14.2K]

Answer:

  • <u>The multiplicative rate of change of the function is 0.5</u>

Explanation:

The <em>multiplicative rate of change</em> is the ratio between consecutive entries.

Naming r the multiplicative rate of change, if it is constant you get:

  • r = second entry / first entry = third entry / second entry = fourth entry / third entry.

Here:

  • second entry / first entry = 0.125 / 0.25 = 0.5
  • third entry / second entry = 0.0625 / 0.125 = 0.5
  • fourth entry / third entry = 0.03125 / 0.0625 = 0.5

Thus, the multiplicative rate of change is 0.5. It means that you can obtain each entry as the product of the previous entry times 0.5:

  • 0.25 × 0.5 = 0.125
  • 0.125 × 0.5 = 0.0625
  • 0.0625 × 0.5 = 0.03125

In general, exponential functions have constant multiplicative rate of changes.

When a number is decreased by 7.5%, the result is 61. What is the original number to the nearest tenth?
asambeis [7]

Answer: It's 65.9

Step-by-step explanation:

<h3>decreased by 7.5%</h3>

<h3>means 100% - 7.5% = 92.5%</h3>

<h3>92.5% * x = 61</h3>

<h3>x= 61 / 92.5%</h3>

<h3>x = 65.9459</h3>

<h3>to the nearest tenth :</h3>

<h3>original number is 65.9</h3><h3>Hope this helps have a awesome day/night❤️✨</h3>

HELP is this graph misleading? Be sure to justify your answer with mathematical reasoning
victus00 [196]

A graph is used to visualize data using plots, figures and charts.

The given graph is not misleading

<h3>How to determine if the graph is misleading</h3>

From the figure, we have the following highlights

  • The graph is well labelled on both axes
  • The y-axis (which represents a numerical data) have a constant interval i.e. the scale is consistent
  • All points are properly connected

Using the above properties, we can conclude that the graph is not misleading
