Answer

Find the approximate value of sin C .

To proof

By using the trignometric identity

sin\theta = \frac{Perpendicular}{Hypotenuse}

Now as given in the diagram

sin C = \frac{AB}{BC}

as in the diagram

AB = 5 units

BC =  13.93 units

Now put it in the identity

sinC = \frac{5}{13.93}

solving

sinC = 0.36° (approx)

Option (D) is correct

Hence proved

Answer:

(D) 0.36

Step-by-step explanation:

Given: It is given that in ΔABC, which is right angled at A has AC=13, AB=5 and BC=13.93.

To find: The value of sinC.

Solution: It is given that in ΔABC, which is right angled at A has AC=13, AB=5 and BC=13.93. thus, using the trigonometry that is:

sinC=\frac{Perpendicular}{Hypotenuse}

sinC=\frac{AB}{BC}

Substituting the given values, we have

sinC=\frac{5}{13.93}

sinC=0.36

which is the required value.

Hence, option D is correct.

In Harold’s class, there are 7 boys for every 6 girls. Identify three equivalent ratios to compare boys to girls.
Tanzania [10]

Answer: The ratio of 6 /7 represent the number of boys to the number of girls in one classroom. You are given a total number of boys and girls.

So, your ratio has to represent how many boys to the total number of boys and girls in one classroom, or 13.

The proportion becomes, 6 / 13 = x / 78.

Cross multiply getting, 13 * x = 6 * 78

Divide by 13 to solve for x, or x = 36.

There are 36 boys in all of the classrooms and 42 girls in all of the classrooms.

The ratio of boys to girls in all of the classrooms is 36 / 42, or 6 / 7.
