x+y+z=149 ----> equation C

solve the system by substitution

substitute equation A and equation B in equation C

(3y)+y+(y-6)=149

solve for y

Combine like terms left side

5y-6=149

Adds 6 both sides

5y=149+6

5y=155

Divide by 5 both sides

y=31

x=3y ----> x=3(31)=93

<em>Find the value of z</em>

z=y-6 ---- z=31-6=25
