You failed to include the picture that goes with the question.  However, the oldest fossils will be the fossils in the oldest layer, which is the lowest layer of sediment.  Sedimentary rock forms as mud and silt pile up over thousands and millions of years.  The layers of sediment harden and become rock.  Organisms that are trapped in those layers become fossils as additional layers pile on top of them, forming new layers of sediment.

Considering the formation of sedimentary rocks, the fossils in layer C are the oldest. Sedimentary rocks form in layers, with the oldest rock at the bottom. So, the fossils in layers A and B are newer than the ones in layer C. The fossils in layer A are the newest fossils.

Can someone please explain how three of the leaf structure functions to help the plant with the life process of photosynthesis a
Gre4nikov [31]

Answer:

Underneath the leaf's epidermis is the ground tissue. This is divided into the palisade mesophyll and spongy mesophyll. The spongy mesophyll

allows for the gases that entered through the stomata to be exchanged during photosynthesis. The palisade mesophyll is where the majority of

photosynthesis takes place.
