A person’s theoretical maximum heart rate (in heartbeats per minute) is 220 - x where x is the person’s age in years (20 ≤ x ≤ 6

5). When a person exercises, it is recommended that the person strive for a heart rate that is at least 50% of the maximum and at most 75% of the maximum.

Let f(x) represents the heart beat of the person.

Now, we have been given that person’s theoretical maximum heart rate is given by  220 - x.

Also, we have been given that person strive for a heart rate that is at least 50% of the maximum. At least means greater than equal to.

Thus, we have

f(x)\geq (220-x)0.5\\
f(x)\geq 110-0.5x

Also, we have been given that person strive for a heart rate that is at most 75% of the maximum. At most means less than equal to.

f(x)\leq (220-x)0.75\\
\\
f(x)\leq 165-0.75x

Therefore, the system of inequality is given by

f(x)\geq 110-0.5x\\
f(x)\leq 165-0.75x

Round 977.259856871 to 3 decimal places
Fofino [41]
You will want to round to 977.259

look at the number to the right of 9, it is 8, and 8 > 5. IF the number is 5 or greater, round up.

so your answer is 977.260

hope this helps

A couple quick algebra 1 questions for 50 points!
kkurt [141]

Answer:

Question 6) Neither (Not an inverse variation)

Question 7) Inverse variation

Question 8) Inverse variation

Step-by-step explanation:

These are the two formulas we need to know prior to solving the question.

Direct variation: c times x

Inverse variation: c times 1/x --> c/x

- Here, c is the constant

6. y = x + 7

This is neither. It is not in the form of a direct, or inverse variation, so it does not belong in any category.

7. 14 = xy

This equation is an inverse variation.

xy = 14

y = 14/x

14 is the constant, and the format is the same as for an inverse variation.

8. x = -8/y

This equation is an inverse variation.

yx = -8

y = -8/x

-8 is the constant, and the format is the same as for an inverse variation.

So we can conclude that questions 7 and 8 is an inverse variations, while question 6 isn't.
