Answer:

The way I see it, from this question you are expecting a personal answer right? alright, here this is a real one I faced.

back when I was getting prepared for my college entry examination, the some tutors of mine, most of the other students at the lecture and my idiotic relatives were all trying to discourage me.

I was a naughty, crazy kid back in the days, so they were pointing out to that fact, digging out all the things from past and were making fun of me. always saying "little henry is gonna fail this time too", and blah blah blah....

but my mom was with me, and soon I learnt that what they say only matters if i pay attention to them! you know what? I stopped caring at all! moreover, I didn't try "so hard" for the exam too.... because I wasn't gonna change my life, the pace of my life and how I live it to show others that I can or can't do what they want!

I was chilling! and had the best days of my life! calmly and in a relaxed way I did the exam, and then, i got my entrance! its a super competitive exam yet i made it!

All because i didn't listen to the others and was not trying to Prove my self to anyone! the only person you have to prove yourself is yourself and not anyone else. be your self, and everything you ever wanted will right be there for you!

Hope this will help!

Which of these statements is part of the teachings of Epicurus?
MakcuM [25]

Answer:

C. The way to be happy is to avoid pain.

Explanation:

Epicurus was a philosopher in ancient Greek, who developed the school of thought  known as Epicureanism. He was born in the year 341 BC and died in 270 BC. The basic idea of this philosophy is that the senses are to be greatly relied on to find explanations to several issues.

Epicurus believed that man should endeavor to avoid pain, because when there is no pain, then the greatest happiness can be achieved. His idea of the senses as a logical way of explaining issues was rejected by other philosophers who believed that, 'reason' was a better explanation of why things happen.
