The  Copernicus's heliocentric model was not believed until Galileo and Kepler provided more evidence because there was no practical information regarding the work and theory given by him. Galileo pointed his telescope into the sky in 1610 and then for the first time in history, moons of Jupiter was seen. Galileo also observed the phases of Venus which proved that the planet orbits around the sun. Though Copernicus observed but not proved that the planet revolves around the Sun but it was Kepler who correctly defined their orbits.

The Copernicus was the Polish scholar who gave the heliocentric model in the year 1543. In this model, he showed that the sun is the center of the universe and the Earth is one among the seven planets that revolve around the sun. This concept was not believed for long  by the people. Before this model, people believed that the Earth is the center of the universe. There was no evidence that supported the heliocentric model.

When Kepler using the data of the Brahe supported the model of Copernicus, and Galileo using his telescope observed the four moons of the Jupiter, the Copernicus's model was believed. The evidences provided by Kepler and Galileo made the Copernicus's theory strong.
