Answer:

Option d, Polar covalent, hydrogen bond

Explanation:

Chemical formula of water is H_2O. In water molecules, two hydrogen atoms are bonded to oxygen atom by two covalent bonds. Covalent bond is formed by sharing of electrons. As oxygen atom is more electronegative than hydrogen, therefore, shared electrons are attracted towards oxygen atoms. Because of this covalent bonds between hydrogen and oxygen are polar in nature.

Hydrogen bond is present between the hydrogen atom bonded to electronegative atoms, O, F, N and the electrogetive atom of another molecule. As in water molecules hydrogen is bonded to 'O' atoms, therefore hydrogen bonds exist between two water molecules. Because of presence of hydrogen bond, boiling point of water is very high.

Fittoniya [83]
A 0.12 M solution of an acid that only slightly ionizes in solution would be termed a weak acid. Weak acids are acids which do not completely dissociate in water. Thus lowering the presence of hydronium ions which measures the pH of an acid.  <span />

The table below compares the radioactive decay rates of two materials. Material Original mass of material (in grams) Mass of mat
Hoochie [10]

Answer:

The half-life of Material 1 and Material 2 are equal.

Explanation:

Material 1 disintegrates to half its mass three times in 21.6 s, to go from 100g

to 12.5g. That is,

100g - 50g - 25g - 12.5g

Material 2 disintegrates to half its mass three times in 21.6 s, to go from 200g to 25g. That is,

200g - 50g - 25g - 12.5g.

This means that regardless of their initial masses involved, material 1 and material 2 have equal half-life.

Their half-life is 21.6 ÷ 3 = 7.2 sec

From his experiments ,j.j Thomson concludes what?
Vladimir [108]

Answer:

Thomson made the following conclusions: The cathode ray is composed of negatively-charged particles. The particles must exist as part of the atom, since the mass of each particle is only ∼ 20001start fraction, 1, divided by, 2000, end fraction the mass of a hydrogen atom.
