According to the self-perception theory of attitudes, if people are not sure how they feel about something, what should they do? they should compare themselves to others. they should assess their emotions. they should ask a friend. they should consider their behavior.

I dont believe they should compare themselves to other people. But asseing every possible option and theory. Maybe they can sort out their feelings for their own self perception. If they compare themselves then they are using the self perceptions of everyine else and not their own.
