The table below represents the distance of a car from its destination as a function of time: Time (hours) x Distance (miles) y 0

900 1 850 2 800 3 750 Part A: What is the y-intercept of the function, and what does this tell you about the car? (4 points) Part B: Calculate the average rate of change of the function represented by the table between x = 1 to x = 3, and tell what the average rate represents. (4 points) Part C: What would be the domain of this function if the car traveled the same rate until it reached its destination? (2 points)

Part A you can figure out that the car is traveling at 50 miles an hour because after every hour the distance decreases by 50

b the average change is 100 miles for every 2 hours, which can be simplified back to 50mph which represents the speed of the car

part C {y=-50x+900| (0,900),...(18,0)

Which graph shows that Cindy reads about 3/4 of the time while riding in the car?
wolverine [178]

The graph that shows a unit rate of 3/4, which is the time Cindy reads while riding in the car is the graph attached below.

<h3>What is Unit Rate?</h3>

Unit rate can be described as a constant or exactly how much of one quantity is per 1 unit of another quantity.

Unite rate (k) = x/y.

In the graph attached below, when x (hours driving) = 3, y (hours reading) = 4.

Therefore, unit rate = 3/4. We can then conclude that the graph that shows that Cindy reads 3/4 of the time she rides in a car is the graph attached below.

The median for the given set of six ordered data values is 33.5.
Maslowich

Answer:

mean \: = \frac{sum \: of \: terms}{number \: of \: terms} \\ 33.5 = \frac{9 + 12 + 27 + x + 41 + 50}{6} \\ 33.5 = \frac{139 + x}{6} \\ cross \: multiply \\ 33.5 \times 6 = 139 + x \\ 201 = 139 + x \\ make \: x \: the \: subject \: of \: formula \\ x = 201 - 139 \\ x = 62 \\ final \: answer \: is \: 62
