The independent variable is the number of sweatshirts sold so it is answer A.

(Money raised is the dependent variable because it depends on the number of sweatshirts sold.)

Answer:

A) 1, 2, 3, 4, 5

Step-by-step explanation:

The graph shows the number of Sweatshirts sold and amount of money raised.

Here x-axis represents the number of Sweatshirts sod and y-axis represents the amount of money raised.

From the given graph, we infer cost of 1 Sweatshirt is $9.

2 Sweatshirts = $ 18

3 Sweatshirts = $27

4 Sweatshirts = $36

5 Sweatshirts = $45

Here the amount of money depends upon the number of Sweatshirts sold.

Here the number of Sweatshirts sold represents the independent variable and the amount of money raised represents the dependent variable.

So, independent quantities = 1, 2, 3, 4, 5.

Therefore, answer is A) 1, 2, 3, 4, 5

a jet flying at an altitude of 30000 ft passes over a small plane flying at 15000 feet headed in the same direction the jets fly
Sholpan [36]

The jet has gained on the small plane at the rate of 10 miles per minute, so is flying 600 miles per hour faster. (There are 60 minutes in an hour.)

Since the jet is flying twice as fast as the smaller plane, the small plane's speed is the same as the difference in speed: 600 mph.

The jet's speed is double that, 1200 mph.

  • small plane: 600 mph
  • jet: 1200 mph

At what rate per annum ci will RS 2000 amount to RS 2315.35 in 3 years
Mashutka [201]

<u>ANSWER: </u>

Rate per annum at which CI will amount from RS 2000 to RS 2315.35 in 3 years is 5%

<u>SOLUTION: </u>

Given,

P = RS 2000

C.I = RS 2315.35

T = 3 years

We need to find the rate per annum. i.e. R = ?

We know that,

When interest is compound Annually:

Amount $=\mathrm{P}\left(1+\frac{\mathrm{R}}{100}\right)^{n}$

Where p = principal amount

r = rate of interest

n = number of years

$2315.35=2000 \times\left(1+\frac{R}{100}\right)^{3}$

$\left(1+\frac{R}{100}\right)^{3}=\frac{2315.35}{2000}$

$\left(1+\frac{R}{100}\right)^{3}=1.157$

$1+\frac{R}{100}=\sqrt[3]{1.157}$

$1+\frac{R}{100}=1.0500$

$\frac{R}{100}=1.05-1$

$\frac{R}{100}=0.05$

R = 5%

Hence, rate per annum is 5 percent.
