-39°C  is  <em>75 Celsius degrees</em> "warmer" than  -114°C . . .
if you could call either one "warm".

( 75 Celsius degrees warmer is the same as 135 Fahrenheit degrees warmer.)

The problem is worded a bit confusing, but think of it as if -39 degrees celcius is the freezing point for mercury. The solution is: 75 degrees Celcius.

What is the value of x if the perimeter of both shapes is the same?
AveGali [126]

The value of x is: \frac{4}{3}

<u><em>Recall</em></u>:

Perimeter of a shape is the sum of all its sides

<em>Thus</em>:

Perimeter of the triangle = x + x +x+ 4 = 3x + 4

Perimeter of the rectangle = 2(2x) + 2(x) = 4x + 2x = 6x

We are told that the perimeter of both shapes are equal. Set both perimeters equal and solve for x.

3x + 4 = 6x

<em>Add like terms</em>

<em />4 = 6x - 3x\\4 = 3x

<em>Divide both sides by 3</em>

<em />\frac{4}{3} = x\\x = \frac{4}{3}

The value of x = \frac{4}{3}

Lelechka [254]

Answer:

82.4 ft^3

Step-by-step explanation:

Diameter=5.4ft

Radius=diameter/2

=5.4ft/2

=2.7ft

π=3.14

Volume of a sphere=4/3πr^3

=4/3×3.14×2.7^3

=4/3×3.14×19.683

=4/3×61.80462

=247.21848/3
