Short humorous poems that follow a specific structure are called
Salsk061 [2.6K]
<h2>Limerick.</h2>

Limerick are short and humurous poems consisting of only five lines, they were popularized by an english poet named Edward Lear. Edward wrote an entire book full of limericks, it was called "The book of nonsense".

A very popular Limerick is:

<em>“Hickory dickory dock. </em>

<em> The mouse ran up the clock. </em>

<em> The clock struck one, </em>

<em> And down he run. </em>

<em> Hickory dickory dock.”</em>

Limericks are supposed to be nonsensical and they have an  a-a-b-b-a rhyming pattern.

Can someone please help me i have to present this slide and i dont know what to say about it and my topic is Should a University
pychu [463]

You can say on your slide your opinion about whether you think universities in the United States should be paid or free.

In my opinion, I believe that all universities should be free, because we all should have a good education, so the world could be a better place, with people better informed and with an advanced education level. Your financial situation should not determinate your future, everyone should have to study wherever they wanted to. There are subsidies, and also scholarships; some colleges up to 100%, but maybe that college is not what you really wanted and you end up depriving yourself of your dream. You can to opt for loans, but will you have the money to pay for it later, or will you get in default? Will you find vacancies in your future area of employment? It is something you can not know, it is completely uncertain, that's why universities should be for free.

However, on the other hand, if all the universities were free and depended on the Government, perhaps the equipments will be not of as good quality as they could be, and with teaching could happen the same thing. So, would all universities be on the same level? It is possible, and that way many people who would have the chance to gain a wider knowledge on their area, as they can afford a college, would end up being harmed.

Overall, I think that it can still exist paid colleges, but there should be more for free. Some might charge only for taxes and tuition, as this would make the teaching better and all the equipments as well. Inequality, unfortunately, is inevitable in some cases, and this is one of them - unless the Government's investment in education would be really grandious, which we know the chance of happening is not so great.

Sorry for taking so long to answer, hope I've helped you.

How do the characters in “The Schuyler sisters” interact?
gtnhenbr [62]

Answer:

In beginning of "The Schuyler Sisters," Aaron Burr tell about "there's nothing rich folks love more than going downtown and slummin' it with the poor." That's when the three Schuyler sisters are being shown walking downtown when Peggy says warnings like "<em>daddy said to be home by sundown" </em>and <em>"Daddy said not to go downtown.</em>" This shows that Peggy usually sticks to the rules. Eliza and Angelica push off the warnings and continue their walk while Peggy reluctantly follows.

The song continues by showing the girls' reactions to the war. Angelica sings <em>"But–look around, look around, the revolution's happening in New York!" </em>This shows that Angelica is not afraid. Peggy says, <em>"It's bad enough daddy wants to go to war," </em>and <em>"It's bad enough there'll be violence on our shore." </em>This portrays her as the 'innocent one.' Eliza says, <em>"People shouting in the square." </em>This portrays her as the 'observant one.' And Angelica focuses on, <em>"New ideas in the air." </em>This portrays her as the 'intelligent one.'

Soon after, Burr comes back and tries to flirt with Angelica. This reveals Burr to be the 'flirty' or 'humorous' one. She rejects by saying, <em>"I've been reading Common Sense by Thomas Paine. So men say that I'm intense or I'm insane. You want a revolution? I want a revelation." </em>Angelica, now accompanied by her sisters, sing, <em>"'We hold these truths to be self-evident. That all men are created equal' And when I meet Thomas Jefferson, I'm 'a compel him to include women in the sequel!" </em>This shows that all three sisters believe in women's rights, but Angelica is one that is more open about it, as she is the one who is focused on.

(I absolutely love Hamilton, by the way!)
