Find the length of the hypotenuse in the following right triangle.
astra-53 [7]

Answer:

17

Step-by-step explanation:

a^2 + b^2 = c^2

a^2 = 8^2 = 64

b^2 = 15^2 = 225

64 + 225 = 289

c^2 = 289

c = Square root of 278

c = 17

Pls help this is due today! A circular plate has a circumference of 14p in. Find the area of the same plate.
NeX [460]
Circumference is pi x diameter
So the diameter is 14
Area of a circle is pi x r^2
radius is half the diameter
so radius = 7

PLEASE HELP. It talks about proportionate pieces, and I don't understand!! My teacher goes too fast!!
Elan Coil [88]
Ok, so basically, proportionate pieces mean that the lengths in each section of the diagram are proportional:

2/q = 3/4 = 4/p

Using this, you could find that q = 2/3 and p = 4/3
