When you are playing individual sports, there is no team to which can work with. So the factors which are critical during an individual sport are you physical fitness, your mental focus, and your skills. The more you are focused, the better you will perform. If you are out of focus, your skills are not going to help you by any means. So as a conclusion i would say that the combination of focus, skills and fitness can lead to better performance in individual sports.
