I think its like this
each row has 6 white tiles
8 rows = 48 tiles
48 - 6 = 42
42 x 8 = 336
so 8 rows = 6 white tiles and 42 purple tiles to make 48 tiles so she will need 336 more tiles to make each 8 rows have 48 tiles

hope this helps : )

Which inequality comparing two of the expressions below is true when 0.5
Aleonysh [2.5K]

Answer:

Option C

Step-by-step explanation:

Given 0.5≤ x ≤ 0.7

According to the range of x, we will check which option is true

Let x = 0.6

A. \frac{x}{3} > \sqrt{x}

If x = 0.6

∴0.6/3 > √0.6 ⇒ 0.2 > 0.77 ⇒ Wrong inequality

B. x³ > 1/x

If x = 0.6

∴ 0.6³ > 1/0.6 ⇒ 0.216 > 1.667 ⇒ Wrong inequality

C. √x > x³

If x = 0.6

∴ √0.6 > 0.6³ ⇒ 0.77 > 0.216 ⇒ True inequality

D. (x/3) > (1/x)

If x = 0.6

∴ 0.6/3 > 1/0.6 ⇒ 0.2 > 1.667 ⇒ Wrong inequality

So, The true inequality is option C

Units must be consistent. If the unit for p is dollars, the unit for i is dollars and the unit for t is years, what must the uni
umka2103 [35]

Assuming you're concerned with interest rate problems, r is generally involved in something like the formula ...

... i = prt

So, r will have the units of ...

... r = i/(pt) = (dollars)/(dollars·year) = 1/year

That is, r is (some fraction) per year.

_____

Often, the fraction is expressed as a percentage. The fraction will be unitless (as percentages are), leaving the units of r as year⁻¹.
