It is 58
That's the 20th number in the sequence since each term is 3 more than the last number. An easy way to do this is multiply 19 times 3 because there are 19 terms after one. Then multiply by 3 because each term is 3 more than the last term. After you do 19 x 3 you get 57 right? Then add 57 to 1, the first term, to get 58.

Each term goes up by 3 so if n is the nth term and y is the value y=3n but the first term is 1 not 3 so
y=3n-2
The 20th term is n=20 so
y= 58

Answer: 7.5 miles

Step-by-step explanation:

think of it as a triangle; the bold line is the hypotenuse, or x.

8   |\   x

      |_\ it's not a good triangle but you get the point

       6

and then get out pythagorean theorem: a^2+b^2=c^2

put the numbers in: 8^2 + 6^2 = x^2

do some math:

64+36=x^2

100=x^2 (and then find square root)

10=x

BUT, it said each unit was 3/4 of a mile, so we must multiply 10 by 3/4 to get the actual distance, which is 7.5

Maddie and her friends are making s'mores over the campfire. they have a bag of 48 marshmallows, 2 packs of graham crackers cont
VladimirAG [237]

The answer would be 16 S'mores and the limiting reactant would be the grahams.

(This is assuming that S'mores would need 2 grahams, 1 marshmallow and 1 chocolate piece.)

Limiting reactant would be the reactant that runs out first.

Let's take your problem into account and see what we have:

48 marshallows

32 grahams (2 x 16 per pack)

45 chocolate pieces (5 x 15 pieces per bar)

Since need 2 of the grahams per S'more then the maximum yield of the grahams is 16 S'mores.

The maximum yield of marshmallows is 48.

The maximum yield of chocolate is 45.

Since you cannot make S'mores without the grahams, then you can only make 16 S'mores before the grahams run out.
