Ultraviolet radiation or UV radiation is a band of the electromagnetic spectrum of 10 nm to 400 nm wavelength present in sunlight. It is a known carcinogenic or cancer-causing agent.
Out of three only two UV radiation- UVA and UVB reach the earth surface and exposure to these rays could damage DNA and cause mutations to divide a cell in an uncontrolled manner.
