Answer: \frac{3y(2x-1)}{x(x-2)}

Step-by-step explanation:

Given problem to simplify is \frac{\frac{15xy^2}{x^2-5x+6} }{\frac{5x^2y}{2x^2-7x+3} } \\\\=\frac{15xy^2}{x^2-5x+6}\cdot\ \frac{2x^2-7x+3} {5x^2y}............\text{(by fractional division property,the denominator invert and its reciprocal multiply to numerator)}\\\\=\frac{15xy^2}{(x-3)(x-2)}\cdot\frac{(x-3)(2x-1)} {5x^2y}.........\ \text{(factorizing quadratic equation)}

=\frac{3y(2x-1)}{x(x-2)}........\text{(cancelling like terms with same degree and coefficients from numerator and denominator)}

so the simplified form of the given problem is \frac{3y(2x-1)}{x(x-2)}

Cylinder and a cone have the same diameter: 8 inches. The height of the cylinder is 5 inches. The height of the cone is 15 inche
ss7ja [257]

Answer:

V_{cylinder}=251.2\ in^3,

V_{cone}=251.2\ in^3,

V_{cylinder}=V_{cone}.

Step-by-step explanation:

The volume of the cylinder is

V_{cylinder}=\pi r^2 h,

where r is the radius of a base circle and h is the cylinder's height.

If cylinder has diameter of 8 inches, then its radius is 4 inches. The height of the cylinder is 5 inches. Thus, the volume of the cylinder is

V_{cylinder}=3.14\cdot 4^2\cdot 5=251.2\ in^3.

The volume of the cone is

V_{cone}=\dfrac{1}{3}\pi r^2 h,

where r is the radius of a base circle and h is the cone's height.

If cone has diameter of 8 inches, then its radius is 4 inches. The height of the cone is 15 inches. Thus, the volume of the cone is

V_{cylinder}=\dfrac{1}{3}\cdot 3.14\cdot 4^2\cdot 15=251.2\ in^3.

As you can see the cylinder and the cone have the same volume.

A train left a station a station at noon going 40mph. A second train left at 3 p.m. going 60mph. At what time will the second tr
Sati [7]

Here speed of first train is slower than speed of second train. So if they catch up , the distance traveled will be same since they left the same station at different times.

But the time traveled will be different .

Let us say the two trains meet at time t ,

Distance = speed * time

Distance traveled by first train = 40 t

Since second train is leaving after three hours , so

Distance traveled by second train = 60(t-3)

As discussed earlier, distance traveled will be same, so

40t =60(t-3)

distributing 60 over t-3

40t =60t-180

60t -40t=180

20t =180

t =180/20

t=9

So the second train will meet the first at 9 p.m.
