Hello!

You first have to find the area of the square grid

To find this you multiply the sides

14 * 14 = 196

Next you have to find the area of the triangle

To find the area of a triangle you use the equation

\frac{hb}{2}

h is height
b is base

Put in the values you know
\frac{7 * 14}{2}

Multiply

\frac{98}{2} = 49

The area of the triangle is 49 inches squared

You divide the area of the triangle by the area of the square

196 / 49 = 4

The answer is 4 triangles

Hope this helps!

If avogadro's number of pennies is divided equally among the 250. million men, women, and children in the united states, how man
Anastasy [175]

We divide the pennies 100 to convert pennies to dollar

1 pennies= 1/100 dollar

Then we will convert 6.02×10∧23 p to dollar

=1 dollar/100 pennie ×6.02×10∧23

= 6.02×10∧21

The total men and women and children in 250 m

=25×108

6.02×10∧21/2.5×10∧8

= 2.408×10∧13

Sally is having a problem with her puppy leaving the yard so she decides to build a new fence. The length of the yard is 8 feet
Rufina [12.5K]

Please check the attached file for the diagram of Sally's yard.

Let w be the width of the yard.

Let l be the length.

We are given that the length of the yard is 8 feet more than 4 times the width. Let us convert this into a mathematical equation.

4 times the width will be 4w. Now, 8 feet, or 8 more than 4 times the width will be 4w+8. We know that this is the value of the length of the yard and thus we can write this as:

l=4w+8

As we can see we have found the relationship between the length, l and the width, w of the yard.

We have been told that the total length of the fence required for the yard is 106 feet. This obviously means that the perimeter of the rectangular yard is 106 feet.

Now, we know that the perimeter of a rectangle is given by:

Perimeter=2(l+w)=2((4w+8)+w) this is because we know that the length, l is given by l=4w+8.

Continuing further we get:

106=8w+16+2w=10w+16 This is because Perimeter=length of the fence=106 (given)

Therefore, 10w=90

or, w=9 so, we just now found the width of the yard which is 9 feet. We are required to find the length. We can easily find the length using the relationship between w and l which is:

l=4w+8 giving us:

l=4\times9+8=44

Thus the length of the fence is 44 feet.

Someone plz help meh
gogolik [260]

Answer:

<em>f( g ( - 2 ) ) = - 14 </em>

Step-by-step explanation:

f(x) = - 2x + 4

g(x) = 3x² - x - 5

f( g ( - 2 ) ) = ?

g( - 2 ) = 3( - 2 )² - ( - 2 ) - 5 = 12 + 2 - 5 = 9

f(9) = - 2 × 9 + 4 = - 14

<em>f( g ( - 2 ) ) = - 14</em>

Which expression could be substituted for y in the second equation to find the value of x?
EastWind [94]

value of x is x=-\frac{29}{4} and value of y is y=-\frac{9}{2}

Step-by-step explanation:

We need to find Which expression could be substituted for y in the second equation to find the value of x

The given equations are:

2x-y=-10\,\,\,(1)2x - 3y= -1\,\,\,\,(2)

For putting value of y in second equation, we will find from equation 1

From equation 1:

2x-y=-10\\-y=-10-2x\\y=10+2x

Putting value of y i.e y=10+2x in equation (2) to find value of x

2x-3y=-1\\2x-3(10+2x)=-1\\2x-30-6x=-1\\-4x=-1+30\\-4x=29\\x=\frac{29}{-4}\\x=-\frac{29}{4}

So, now finding value of y by putting value of x= -29/4 in eq(1)

2x-y=-10\\2(-\frac{29}{4})-y=-10\\-\frac{29}{2}-y=-10\\-y=-10+\frac{29}{2}\\ -y=\frac{-20+29}{2}\\ -y=\frac{9}{2}\\ y=-\frac{9}{2}

So, value of x is x=-\frac{29}{4} and value of y is y=-\frac{9}{2}
