To find the equation that passes through the points we must first find the slope of the points

A(4,7) and B (2,3)

Slope = 3 - 7 / 2 - 4 = -4/-2 = 2

Equation of the line that passes through points A(4,7) and B (2,3) is

Using point B ( 2 ,3)

y - 3 = 2( x - 2)

y = 2x - 4 + 3

y = 2x - 1
