If her original measurements for that recipe feeds 6 people, then write this equation, 6p = 72, to represent the amount of people it will feed. 72 divided by 6 is 12. The thing is, 12 isn't your answer. In the actual problem, it states that a quarter cup of mayonnaise is necessary to feed 6 people. So multiple one-fourth by 12. (If you don't know how to do that, just divide 12 by 4.)

As a result, your final answer should be 3 cups of mayonnaise.

72/6 = 12

1/4 * 12 = 3

She will need 3 cups of mayo to feed 72 people.

Ramon was studying pond life in Doyle Park. In two hours, he counted four more frogs than turtles. The number of crayfish he cou
deff fn [24]
Let us assume the number of turtles = x
Then
Number of frogs = x + 4
Number of crayfish = 2x + 3
Total number of turtles and crayfish = 54
Then we can write the equation as
x + 2x + 3 = 54
3x + 3 = 54
3x = 54 - 3
3x = 51
x = 51/3
   = 17
Then
The number of frogs = x + 4
                                  = 17 + 4
                                  = 21
So there are 21 frogs in the pond that has been counted by Ramon.

Write an exponential function to describe the given sequence of numbers.
andriy [413]

Answer:

  a(n) = 9·6^(n-1)

Step-by-step explanation:

The general term a(n) of a geometric sequence with first term a(1) and common ratio r is given by ...

  a(n) = a(1)·r^(n-1)

Your sequence has first term 9 and common ratio 54/9 = 6, so the function describing it is ...

  a(n) = 9·6^(n-1)

What is 10 times as many as 1 hundred is blank hundreds or blank thousand
lubasha [3.4K]

10 times as many as a number is 10 × the number.

10 times as many as 1 hundred is 10 × 100 = 1000

Therefore, 10 times as many as 1 hundred is 10 hundreds or
