(-2z^2-14)-(-12z^2) =

Remove parentheses:

-2z^2 - 14 + 12 z^2

Group like terms :

-2z^2 + 12z^2-14

add similar elements:

-2z^2+12z^2 = 10z^2

=10z^2-14

hope this helps!

Replace ∗ with a monomial so that the derived equality will be an identity: (15y + ∗)2 = 225y2+12x3y+0.16x6
kobusy [5.1K]

Answer:

∗ = 0.4x³

Step-by-step explanation:

(15y + ∗)² = 225y²+12x³y+0.16x⁶

Note:

225y² = 15y * 15y = (15y)²

12x³y = 2 * 15y * 0.4x³

0.16x⁶ = 0.4x³ * 0.4x³ = (0.4x³)²

So, by factoring the right hand side:

225y²+12x³y+0.16x⁶ = (15y + 0.4x³)²

By comparing the left hand side with (15y + 0.4x³)²

So, ∗ should be replaced with the monomial 0.4x³

Hiii dont mind the answer that i put but im not sure if im right, can someone please help me?
AVprozaik [17]

Answer:

Option 4

Step-by-step explanation:

The volume of a cylinder is going to be the area of the base (which is a circle) times the height. if you have cylindrical mug, then you can use the base area×height relationship, but it won't be exact because some of the volume is going to be used for the walls of the mug itself.

Anyways:

Volume = Base Area × Height

•Base Area -> Circle = π×radius²

•Height is given as 7in.

Volume = π×(6.2in)² × 7in = 845.33975...

Volume is in units cubed (the 3rd power) which is where the in³ is from. Your closest option here looks to be the 4th choice.

Janelle wrote the matrix addition below. Which statement is true?
Sonja [21]

Option A is correct.

Step-by-step explanation:

We need to identify which statement is true in matrix addition.

In matrix addition we just add the corresponding elements.

In the options given only Option A is correct i.e, (n+4)-7 = 18

All other options have error in them.

In Option B there should be -12 instead of +12

In Option C there should be -11 instead of 11

In Option D we are not adding corresponding entries.

So, Option A is correct.
