Answer:

The dinner cost was $ 48

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the dinner cost was  $ x

Will paid  x /4

Micah paid  1/ 4  of remaining ( 1 − 1 /4 ) x = 3/4 x

i.e

4 /16x

Sue paid  3/4  of remaining ( 1 − 1 /4 ) x = 3/4x

i.e

9/16 x

Sue paid  $ 15  more than Will.

∴  9/16 x  -1 /4 x =  5/16x=15

or

x=$48

Will paid  48 /4 = $ 1 2, Miah paid  4 /16. 48 = $ 12

,Sue paid  9/16⋅ 48= $ 27

The dinner cost was $ 48
