Answer: The speed of air is 771.5 miles/hr.

Explanation:

We are given:

Speed of sound = 343 m/s

To convert this speed into miles per hour, we use the conversion factor:

1 mile = 1610 m

1 hr = 3600 s

Converting the above speed into miles per hour, we get:

\Rightarrow (\frac{343m}{s})\times (\frac{1mile}{1600m})\times (\frac{3600s}{1hr})\\\\\Rightarrow 771.75miles/hr

Hence, the speed of air is 771.5 miles/hr.

Convert metres to feet:

343m*3.28f = 1,125.04ft/s

There are 3600 (60 seconds * 60 minutes) seconds in an hour. Therefore, use this number to convert to an hour.

1,125.04ft*3600s = 4,050,144 ft/h

Now, since you asked for miles, convert to miles (5280 ft in a mile):

4,050,144ft/5,280m = 767.072mph

That is your answer! Hope I helped. :)

A fish company delivers 22 kg of salmon, 5.5 kg of crab and 3.48 kg of oysters to your seafood restaurant. What is the mass, in
Rainbow [258]

Answer:

Mass of sea food = 30.98 Kg

Mass of sea food in pound = 68.31 lbs

Explanation:

Salmon, crab and oysters all are sea food.

Mass of sea food = Mass of salmon + Mass of crab + mass of oyster

Mass of salmon = 22 kg

Mass of crab = 5.5 kg

Mass of oysters = 3.48 kg

Mass of sea food = Mass of salmon + Mass of crab + mass of oyster

                             = 22 + 5.5 + 3.48

                             = 30.98 Kg

1 Kg = 2.205 lbs

Therefore, 30.98 kg = 30.98 × 2.205

                                 = 68.31 lbs

Is there a way to stop radioactive decay?
Wittaler [7]
The chain reaction is easy to stop. Just add a neuron absorbing material. The Control Rods in rectors can do that You just SCRAM (put the rods all the way in) or add something like Boron and the chain reaction stops.

The problem is the radioactive waste. Those isotopes break down and release heat spontaneously, no neutrons required. The only known way to stop or slow radioactive decay down is to slow time down by moving at relativistic speed or near orbit to a black hole.

Which has more neutrons: Cobalt or Nickel?
Inessa05 [86]

Answer:

Because the most common form of Nickel is Ni-58 while the most common form of Cobalt is Co-59, this means that Cobalt (which is number 27 on the periodic table) has 27 protons and 32 neutrons. Therefore 1 less proton but 2 more neutrons and hence has a greater mass than Nickel.

Which of the following is true: A. Gamma rays are too dangerous to be used in a medicinal way. B. Gamma radiation is used common
ratelena [41]

Answer:

D

Explanation:

Gamma radiation penetrates the cell wall of prokaryotic organisms such as bacteria and can inhibit their metabolic functions as well as destroy their DNA.

Debunking the other answers:

A is incorrect as Gamma radiation is used in the treatment of cancer via radiotherapy.

B is incorrect as Gamma rays are too small and would just penetrate any smoke particles.

C is incorrect because Gamma rays are used to disinfect food products to prevent food borne illness. Irradiation is safe to use on food and does not make it radioactive.

Thus, D is correct.
