Alright, lets get started.

Suppose total values of drug Alejandro sold = x

He earns a 12% commission of the total sales of the statins that he sells to hospitals.

It means he get 12 % of commission of his total sale x.

So, the commission he get = x * 12

commission he get = x * \frac{12}{100}

commission he get = 0.12 x

As per given in question, he earned $60,000 in commission.

0.12 x = 60000

Dividing both sides with 0.12

\frac{0.12x}{0.12}=  \frac{60000}{0.12}

x = 500000

It means his total sales is $ 500000. : Answer

Hope it will help :)

exis [7]

9514 1404 393

Answer:

  (3, 1)

Step-by-step explanation:

We assume you want the solution to the system ...

  • 2x−3y=3
  • x=y+2

The second equation gives a nice expression for x, so we can use that in the first equation.

  2(y+2) -3y = 3 . . . . substitute for x in the first equation

  2y +4 -3y = 3 . . . . . eliminate parentheses

  -y = -1 . . . . . . . . . . . collect terms, subtract 4

  y = 1 . . . . . . . . . . . . multiply by -1

  x = 1 +2 = 3 . . . . . . substitute for y in the second equation

The solution is (x, y) = (3, 1).
