P = -1.5w + 55
(pounds equals losing 1.5 lbs a week plus the starting weight)

your second question is a little vague so i’m assuming you mean the values of p every week if Rocco loses 1.5 lbs every week until the goal of 45 lbs is reached. that goes as follows:

w1: 53.5 lbs
w2: 52 lbs
w3: 50.5 lbs
w4: 49 lbs
w5: 47.5 lbs
w6: 46 lbs
w7: 44.5 lbs

so Rocco would reach the vet’s weight recommendation after 7 weeks
