This is called "strict constructionism".

It means that the federal government should apply only what is written in the Constitution and in the way that it is written. There would be no searching for hidden meanings or anything similar.

Answer

Strict construction is the term used to describe limiting the federal government to powers specifically listed in the Constitution

Explanation

A constitution is a legal document which is composed of principles and laws of a nation,a group or state. It determines the powers and duties of the government and also gives rights to the people.

Strict construction this in the constitution means it is narrowed in a manner that you cannot go beyond limits. It is limited in a way such that the constitution is based in a narrow definition without references. The strict constructionism has a particular legal restriction that limits and restricts judicial interpretation. This situation limited the federal government powers

Judging from this story, how do you think the author, ambrose bierce, views war?
kari74 [83]
For the answer to the question above, an Occurrence at Owl Creek Bridge is a short story written by eternal pessimist Ambrose Bierce in 1890. It's set in the Civil War, 30 years prior.
Bierce actually fought in the Civil War, he was enlisted for the Union's 9th regiment and was active at the Battle of Shiloh. That being said, Bierce has real life experience with war, something that is really reflected in Owl Creek Bridge. He sees that the war is treacherous and brutal. The events that seemingly occur are highly romanticized, as war is often portrayed by the government, media, etc. However, the ending is the biggest key into Bierce's thoughts on war. War and death can not be dramatized, they can only be realized as a cold and unforgiving force.

Which statement describes the reality of being a middle-class white woman in the '50s and '60s?
pashok25 [27]

Answer:

A. Many were discontented with their domestic lives and duties and looking for opportunities to develop their talents.

Explanation:

The baby boom and rise of suburban life led to widespread discontent in the lives of middle class white women during the 50s and 60s.

In contrast to the wartime jobs that many women held during WW2, women in the 50s and 60s were stay at home moms.

They spent most of their time at home, and women that did work received much lower pay then men.

Women at home became discontent and wanted equality, with more opportunities for education and work.

So, the correct answer is A.
