What was the primary goal of the D-Day invasion at Normandy?

History

The correct answer is D.

The D-Day invasion, also known as the Normandy landings, took place in June 1944 in mainland Europe, in the nazi-ruled French region known as Normandy. The allied forces aimed to re-open the Western front of WWII, and to push back the nazi Germans by reconquering first France (which was under their dominance) and then by starting gaining new territories, constantly coming closer towards Berlin.

This operation was a turning point in the war. From this moment on, the US and Western European allied forces (what was left from UK and France) started to fight the nazis on the West, while the URSS, that has also intervened in the conflict, did the same from the East.

What did President Wilson think of the Big Stick policy and Dollar Diplomacy? Wilson wanted to base his foreign policy on them.
vova2212 [387]

Answer:

Wilson rejected both policies.

Explanation:

President Wilson reject both the Big Stick policy and Dollar Diplomacy.

The Big Stick policy was enacted by President Theodore Roosevelt and it  was based on the theory that the United States could use force to maintain stability in Latin America. While,The Dollar Diplomacy policy was created during President William Howard tenure, it is a form of foreign policy to minimize the use or threat of military force but instead sought to address international problems by extending American investment overseas, believing that such activity would both benefit the US economy and promote stability abroad. However, during the Presidency of President Woodrow Wilson, he had a different vision and approach about the way the United States foreign policy should be applied. He promote  and proposed a different policy called "Moral diplomacy" a form of foreign policy which support is given only to countries whose beliefs are analogous to that of the nation i.e supporting those countries considered allies to the United States to help them to grow as a nation.

V125BC [204]
According to our current knowledge, planets are formed around a new star by condensing in a disc of molecular gas and dust, embedded within a larger molecular cloud. Condensation increases until they become giant planets, which are heated, then cleanse their orbits in the disc and possibly bend it.
