Describe how a prairie dog might interact with each of the 4 spheres of the earth.

Geography
1 answer:
Paul [167]3 years ago

There are four spheres on the Earth, lithosphere, biosphere, atmosphere, hydrosphere, and the prairie dog interacts with all of them.

Lithosphere; the prairie dog uses the lithosphere for living and hiding (inside the ground) and for searching food and mates on the surface of the land.

Biosphere; in here we can include the interactions the prairie dog has with the members of its own species, but also with the living organisms it uses as a food, and the living organisms that are a threat to it and it avoids them.

Atmosphere; it uses the atmosphere in the way that it uses the oxygen for breathing and thus living.

Hydrosphere; the prairie dog is not a big fan of the the water surfaces, but still it uses small amounts of water for drinking so that it can survive.

Explanation:

This kind of study which involves impact of human activities on the environment falls under the human-environment interaction theme of geography.

It entails how human activities continues to shape his immediate environment.

  • Geographic theme of location is associated with where on earth something can be found. It could be absolute or relative location.
  • Geographic theme of place involves the physical and human setting of a place.
  • Geographic theme of region defines a particular area which are classified under some certain categories.

The fitting answer to this problem is the theme of human - environment interaction.

Compare and contrast the dry climate type with the tropical climate type.
Reptile [31]
The difference between a dry climate and a tropical climate is that the dry climate as you know is dry and the tropical climate is moist and wet, the compare is tropical wet climates receive much more rain than tropical dry climates do. However, the term “tropical wet and dry climate” actually refers to a single type of climate. Tropical dry climates occur in deserts, while tropical wet climates usually occur along the rainforest belt.

What is the use of gases water vapour and dust particle in our daily llive
Karo-lina-s [1.5K]

Explanation:

Water vapour is important for a number of different reasons, but its presence in the atmosphere is one of the most important. Water vapour is present within the atmosphere in varying amounts but is a vital component of the hydrologic cycle. In the atmosphere, water vapour can exist in trace amounts or even make up as much as 4% of the atmosphere. This concentration depends largely on where the water vapour levels are measured. On average, the value of water vapour in the atmosphere is 2-3%. In arid or very cold locations - such as polar regions - the amount of water vapour in the air is much lower.[4]

Even on a clear day, water vapour exists in the atmosphere as an invisible gas - unlike clouds which are droplets of liquid water that can be seen. If the conditions are right, water vapour in the air can collect on small particles of dust, salt, or smoke in the air to form small droplets. These droplets gradually increase in size and over time become various forms of precipitation. Since water vapour is so prominent in the atmosphere and forms precipitation, water vapour is a major component of the hydrologic cycle. When water holding areas are heated by the Sun, some of the water being held evaporates and becomes vapour, powering the cycle.[5]

In addition to being created by evaporating water, plants are capable of producing water vapour through a process of transpiration.
