Height of the top triangle = 2 ft

Area of the triangle = $\frac{1}{2}\ bh$

                                 $=\frac{1}{2}\times3\times2$

                                 = 3 ft²

Area of the top triangle = 3 ft²

Length of the rectangle = (8 + 3) ft = 11 ft

Breadth of the rectangle = 4 ft

Area of the rectangle = length × breadth

                                    = 11 × 4

Area of the rectangle = 44 ft²

Base of the bottom triangle = 3 ft

Height of the bottom triangle = 3 ft

Area of the triangle = $\frac{1}{2}\ bh$

                                 $=\frac{1}{2}\times3\times3$

                                 = 4.5 ft²

Area of the bottom triangle = 4.5 ft²

Area of the figure = 3 ft² + 44 ft² + 4.5 ft²
