<span>From the problem, you can get this equation:
Jane is 2 years older than Sally
J=z+2
David is 4 times older than Jane.
D=4J

</span>Write two equivalent expressions that represent David’s age in terms of Sally’s age, z, and explain how the two expressions relate to one another.<span>Sally is z years old.
From the 2 equation above, you can get:
</span>D=4J
D=4(z+2)
D=4z+8

D-8=4z
(D-8)/4=z
The two equivalent expression would be D=4z+8 and (D-8)/4=z

The expression that more usefull would be D=4z+8 if you want to determine David age.

Please I REALY NEED HELP
Pachacha [2.7K]
Since two of the triangles are similar that means they are the same thing :
<A = <L
108 = 108

<C is twice from <M so :
<C is 2x                 < M is x

as you note down the answer you can draw two triangles and label them according to thier values,  you will see that triangle ABC has two things now  ;
                                                           a = 108   and   c = 2x
when you have two measures in a triangle you can find the 3rd one :
suppose that third < of  triangle ABC is x ;
108 + 2x + x = 180
108 + 3x = 180
 3x = 180 - 108
 3x = 72
<u> </u><u> x = 24</u><u />

                                         <u> <m = 24 </u>

further if you want to find C :

                                          < c = 2x
                                      < c = 2 ( 24 )
                                       < c = 48

Consider the equation
SpyIntel [72]

Answer:

-19

Step-by-step explanation:

12x - 6 + 6 = 10x - 40 + 2

12x - 10x = -40 + 2 + 6 -6

2x = -38

x = -38/2 = -19

The two truths are:

x is a negative number (x = -19)

x+5>x (if x is positive, is true; if x is negative, is also true)

The one lie is:

3x > 2x (if x is negative, the expression will be 3x < 2x)

A crew has paved 3/4 of a mile of road. If they have completed 50% of the work, how long is the road they are paving?
Sonja [21]
1 1/2 miles is indeed your answer because if 50% of the road is done which was 3/4 of a mile just add another 3/4 of a mile if it’s 50% (50% +50%=100%)

Confirm that f and g are inverses by showing that f(g(x)) = x and g(f(x)) = x.
weeeeeb [17]

Answer:

Hello,

Step-by-step explanation:

f(x)=\dfrac{4}{x} \\\\g(x)=\dfrac{4}{x} \\\\\\(gof)(x)=f(g(x))=f(\dfrac{4}{x} )=\dfrac{4}{\dfrac{4}{x} } =\dfrac{4*x}{4} =x\\\\\\(fog)(x)=g(f(x))=g(\dfrac{4}{x} )=\dfrac{4}{\dfrac{4}{x} } =\dfrac{4*x}{4} =x\\
