Alica would have to work for 20 days, I know this because I divided 9 by 180 to get 90. 9 goes into 1 zero times so you write a zero above it and carry down the 8, 9 goes in 18 two times so it should now say 09 above and finally anything going into 0 is 0 giving you 090

20 hours times $9 is $180. She would have to work over 20 hours to earn more than $180.

I would say 21 hours.

Solve the following system of equations using Substitution, showing all work.
Elena L [17]

Answer:

(x,y)=(5,-1)

Step-by-step explanation:

1. 2x+y=9  ---> y=9-2x

2. Substitute y=9-2x into 3x-2y=17 ---> 3x-2(9-2x)=17 ---> 3x-18+4x=17 --> 7x=35 ---> x=5.

3. Substitute x=5 into 2x+y=9 ---> 2*5+y=9 ---> y=9-10 ---> y= -1
