Answer:

The Sherman Act is the first antitrust law in the United States to proclaim a crime to prevent the freedom of trade by creating a trust and conspire with such a purpose. The act obliged federal prosecutors to prosecute such criminal associations and imposed fines, confiscations, and prison sentences of up to 10 years.

Sherman’s act was not directed against trusts as such, but against obvious restrictions on freedom of trade (both between US states and international) - including, personally, against John Rockefeller and his Standard Oil.

Ray Of Light [21]

Answer:

Yes. I agree

Explanation:

Due to a fall in barriers to international trade, companies in wealthy advanced economies now find it easier to move their manufacturing activities to other countries with lower labor rates so that they can reduce their manufacturing costs.

This move means that manufacturing companies in the wealthy advanced economies have reduced job opportunities and as such, workers in this industry will suffer.

Pappy Corporation received cash of $36,000 on September 1,2017 for one year's rent in advance and recorded the transaction with
fenix001 [56]

Answer:

debit Unearned Rent Revenue and credit Rent Revenue, $12,000.

Explanation:

Provided information we have,

Rent is received on 1 September 2017 for a period of 1 year on which it is accounted as Unearned Rent amounting $36,000.

Entry on that date would be

Cash A/c Dr. $36,000

To Unearned Rent $36,000

At the end of the year on 31 December 2017, we have period of current year lapsed = 1 September to 31 December = 4 months.

Thus rent income for the year = $36,000 \times \frac{4}{12} = $12,000

Therefore this rent of $12,000 will be recognized as rent income for the year 2017.

Entry will be

Unearned Rent A/c Dr. $12,000

          To Rent Revenue $12,000

My name is Ann [436]

Answer: 25%

Explanation:

Employee turnover rate (ETR) = number of employees leaving/Average number of employees × 100

Number of employees leaving = 50 employees leaving voluntarily + 5 terminated employees = 55 employees

Average number of employees = 100 + 120 = 220 employees

ETR = 55÷220 × 100 = 25%

Therefore the Employee turnover Rate for the accounting period was 25%
