Hypothalamus has neurons which regulate secretion of anterior lobe hormones by secreting inhibit and releasing hormones. Every hormone produced by anterior lobe has a releasing hormone.
Prolactin and growth hormones have inhibiting hormone. Releasing hormone helps in stimulating production and it releases hormones from the anterior lobe.
