Answer:

This question is from a case study which i went through to find the answer of the question. In the case study Albert suffered from a stroke in which his left side of the brain was affected. However, the symptoms were present in the right side of the body.

This actually happens when a person experiences stroke his symptoms are present only in single side of the body because of the rupture of the blood vessels in specific side.

As we know that when  descending nerve tracts intersect each other, the right side of the body is controlled by left side of the brain and left side of the body is controlled by the right side of the brain.

Therefore, when the symptoms of Albert were localized in only right side, it was concluded that Albert had suffered the damage in right side of the brain.

Choose all the true statements about oxidative phosphorylation.
irga5000 [103]

Answer:

A. Oxidative phosphorylation occurs in the inner mitochondrial membrane.

B. The oxidation of NADH provides enough energy to produce three ATP molecules.

Explanation:

Oxidative phosphorylation is the third step of cellular respiration, in which NADH2 or FADH electron carriers are oxidized to produce ATP. Oxidative phosphorylation occurs in the inner mitochondrial membrane. It is composed of two processes viz: electron transport chain and chemiosmosis.

Either NADH2 or FADH is used as the starting electron carrier. When NADH is used, its oxidation produces enough energy to generate 3 molecules of ATP per molecule while FADH generates 2 ATP molecules.

Why are forests a renewable resource
Masja [62]

Answer: yes they are renewable.

Explanation:

Trees are a natural resource that can be renewed by (the planting of trees) replacing the trees that are harvested for use by people. We depend on forest products for things like the wood we burn for heat and the wood we use to make houses and furniture. We use trees for the paper to make books and letters we write. Actually, there are more than 5,000 things made from trees. Trees give us baseball bats, shoe polish, and even tooth paste that comes from tree extracts.
