Answer:

The percent yield of lead(II) chloride is 88,8%

Explanation:

2HCl + Pb(NO3)2 → 2HNO3 + PbCl2

By stoichiometry, relation between Pb(NO3)2 and PbCl2 IS 1:1 mol

So 1 mol of Pb(NO3)2, makes 1 mol of PbCl2

I use 870 g of lead (II) nitrate, which means 2,63 moles

Molar mass - Pb(NO3)2-: 331,2 g/mol

Mass/Molar mass : Moles → 810 g /331 g/m = 2,63 moles

In conclussion, I obtanied 2,63 moles of PbCl2 but this result is at 100% yield of reaction, as I only formed 650 gr of PbCl2 I have to find out my yield.

Molar mass -PbCl2-: 278,1 g/mol

Mass/Molar mass : Moles → 650g / 278,1 g/mol = 2,34 moles

2,63 moles ______ 100 %

2,34 moles ______ (2,34 . 100) /2,63 = 88,8 %

When hafnium metal is heated in an atmosphere of chlorine gas, the product of the reaction is found to contain 62.2 percent Hf b
Artemon [7]

Answer:

HfCl3

Explanation:

Step 1

Divide the percent by mass of each element by its relative atomic mass

Hf- 62.2/178.5, Cl-37.4/35.5

0.348, 1.054

Step2

Divide through by the lowest ratio

0.348/0.348, 1.054/0.348

1, 3

Therefore the empirical formula is HfCl3

Is is true or false that ocean currents affect the climate I certain regions on earth
vfiekz [6]

True. Coastal regions are affected if it is warm currents over the ocean it make for a higher temperature over the land, if it's a colder current over the ocean it makes for temperatures to drop over land. This happens when the wind blows in from the sea.

in the two stage cooling method what is the maximum amount of time allowed for both stages cooling food from 135 to 41 degrees F
BlackZzzverrR [31]
In the past, restaurants had four hours, straight through, to cool food to 41°F or lower. Now the FDA recommends cooling food in two stages -- from 135°F to 70°F in two hours then from 70°F to 41°F or lower in an additional four hours for a total cooling time of six hours

Which of the following best defines the internal energy of a system?
Anarel [89]
In thermodynamics, the internal energy of a thermodynamic system, or a body with well-defined boundaries, denoted by U, or sometimes E, is the total of the kinetic energy due to the motion of molecules (translational, rotational, vibrational) and the potential energy associated with the vibrational and electric energy of atoms within molecules or crystals. It includes the energy in all the chemical bonds, and the energy of the free, conduction electrons in metals.
