(23 x 2) - 12 = x

We need 2 cookies per student, so multiply the amount of students by 2. which is 23 x 2. Then because you already baked 12 subtract 12 from the original amount you needed to bake.  Which is 46 - 12. Oh and if you wanted the answer, it's 34.

Find common variables. I wrote the ones I found above the polynomial. write them in parentheses the first number will have the variable. now it's just a matter of figuring out how to order it so that the first terms added to the second terms equal to the middle term of the polynomial. ... I think this is right. you could always look on wikiHow if I'm wrong.

Find the distance between the 2 points (6, - 4) and (2, - 7). Please show me how you found it.
Serga [27]
\bf \textit{distance between 2 points}\\ \quad \\
\begin{array}{lllll}
&x_1&y_1&x_2&y_2\\
%  (a,b)
&({{ 6}}\quad ,&{{ -4}})\quad
%  (c,d)
&({{ 2}}\quad ,&{{ -7}})
\end{array}\qquad
%  distance value
d = \sqrt{({{ x_2}}-{{ x_1}})^2 + ({{ y_2}}-{{ y_1}})^2}

d=\sqrt{[2-6]^2+[-7-(-4)]^2}\implies d=\sqrt{(2-6)^2+(-7+4)^2}

What number must you add to complete the square?<br><br> x^2-10x=46
gtnhenbr [62]
X² - 10x = 46
10/2 = 5; 5²+ 25 add 25 to both sides

x² - 10x + 25 = 46 + 25

so the number you have to add to complete the square is 25.
