Dakota wants to do some sightseeing with her mom in New York and is worried that her parents will not catch up with the girls on the charter bus. Help determine if her parents will meet up with the charter bus before the bus gets into New York. Charter Bus The bus will leave Norfolk, VA at 6:00 a.m. on Thursday. The distance from Norfolk to New York City is 350 miles. The average speed of the bus is 50 miles per hour.
Determine how long it will take the charter bus to arrive in New York City. Represent the distance traveled every hour in a table of values.

At what time is the bus expected to arrive in New York City?

Personal Vehicle Dakota’s parents will leave Norfolk, VA at 7:30 a.m. on Thursday in their personal vehicle. The average speed the vehicle will travel is 70 miles per hour.

Determine how long it will take the vehicle to arrive in New York City. Represent the distance traveled every hour in a table of values.

At what time is the vehicle expected to arrive in New York City?

The charter bus will take 7 hours to get there, so they will get there at 1pm. Her parents would actually get there before the bus because it's only going to take 5 hours.

THE LENGTH AND BREADTH OF A RRCTANGLE ARE IN RATIO 4:3 AND THE DIAGONAL MEASURES 10 CM THEN ITS PERIMETER IS
arsen [322]

Answer:

P = 28 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

the diagonal divides the rectangle into 2 right triangles with the diagonal as hypotenuse.

the ratio of length : breadth = 4 : 3 = 4x : 3x ( x is a multiplier )

using Pythagoras' identity in the right triangle

(4x)² + (3x)² = 10²

16x² + 9x² = 100

25x² = 100 ( divide both sides by 25 )

x² = 4 ( take square root of both sides )

x = \sqrt{4} = 2

then

length = 4x = 4 × 2 = 8 cm

breadth = 3x = 3 × 2 = 6 cm

perimeter (P) is calculated as

P = 2 × length + 2 × breadth

  = 2 × 8 + 2 × 6

  = 16 + 12

  = 28 cm

Can somebody help and explain this plzz
8_murik_8 [283]
A) Every T is worth 7 points, and every F is worth 3 points.  So if we let T = 7 and F = 3, we can count how many T's and F's each team scored and write it as an expression.

So for the East Side Bulldogs, they have 7 touchdowns and 6 field goals, thus the expression for them is:

7T + 6F

For the West Side Bulldogs, they have 5 touchdowns and 5 field goals, thus the expression for them is:

5T + 5F

B) The difference would be written as:
7T + 6F - (5T + 5F) = 2T + F

C) To determine how many more points the winning team has than the losing team, calculate the scores of the two teams.  Then subtract the smaller number from the larger number to determine the score differential.

A sample was taken of the salaries of four employees from a large company. the following are their salaries, in thousands of dol
Free_Kalibri [48]

For given sample of salaries of four employees, the variance of their salaries is: 26 thousands of dollars

The formula for the variance is,

S^2=\frac{\sum (x_i - \bar{x})^2}{n-1}

where,

S^2 = sample variance

x_i = the value of the one observation

\bar{x} = the mean value of all observations

n = the number of observations

For given question,

n = 4

First we find the mean of their salaries.

(33 + 31 + 24 + 36 ) / 4 = 31

So, \bar{x}=31

Using the formula for variance ,

S^2=\frac{(33-31)^2}{4-1}+\frac{(31-31)^2}{4-1}+\frac{(24-31)^2}{4-1}+\frac{(36-31)^2}{4-1}\\\\ S^2=\frac{4}{3}  + \frac{0}{3} + \frac{49}{3} + \frac{25}{3} \\\\S^2= \frac{4+49+25}{3}\\\\S^2=\frac{78}{3}  \\\\S^2=26

Therefore, for given sample of salaries of four employees, the variance of their salaries is: 26 thousands of dollars
