Answer:

The correct answer is D. The Marshall Plan helped liberal democracies rebuild their economies to resist the spread of communism.

Explanation:

The Marshall Plan was a plan for economic assistance for reconstruction in the Western European countries after World War II, for the development of European countries and world politics.  This was proposed to help its European allies recover from the collapse of the world system due to the war, while at the same time countering the further penetration and expansion of the Soviet Union and communist forces in Europe.

Politically, it was a clever move by the US, because it seemed as if the Soviet Union had excluded itself from theEuropean Recovery Program by its own doing. The remaining countries under Soviet influence of EasternEurope were pressed into turning down the Marshall Plan as well.

using the NPR Great Migration Interview, along with the Smithsonian article about the Great Migration, explain how that, in and
Leokris [45]

Scholarly research defined the Great Migration, which officially took place between 1916 and 1917, as "the relocation of more than 6 million African Americans from the rural South to the metropolis of the North, Midwest, and West."

  • African Americans were forced to leave their homes in quest of "progressive" acceptance in the North, or more specifically, above the Mason-Dixon line.
  • African Americans gradually carved out a new place for themselves in society as the Great Migration continued. They did this by "actively tackling racial prejudice as well as economic, political and social challenges to create a black urban culture that would exert enormous influence in the decades to come.
  • The Harlem Renaissance appeared out of nowhere, marking the development of a new urban, African-American culture.

Thus this is how blacks were taking pride and ownership of who they were and overcoming the obstacles white society had placed in front of them.

Effectus [21]
The most heated point of protests for the Vietnam War was 1967-68. Vietnam aggression got really bad in the later 60's until the United States pulled out in the early '70's. Although there was conflict with Vietnam through the '40's and '50's, it was in the 1960's when Vietnam got heated.
